Box End Park

RAIL: The nearest train station is Bedford, approximately 4 miles from Box End Park. Bedford Station has direct access to London St Pancras International and Channel Tunnel Rail links. A taxi rank is located outside the station. A taxi will cost approximately £6.
Forest of Marston Vale
The Forest Centre, Station Road, Marston Moretaine, Bedford MK43 0PR. Busy cafe, good cakes. Pay to park or walk from: Park in a layby off Bedford Road, walk a very short way down to the lake, then down steps to a string of beaches. There is a steep drop from shallow edge and a power boat centre on opposite side of lake. PLEASE NOTE that the Forest of Marston Vale Trust do not permit swimming in this lake.
Stony Stratford

There is a handy car park right by the river – but a low height barrier, and parking outside blocks the pavement.
Blue Lagoon
From nature reserve trust: The main entrance is off Drayton Road, to the west of the main railway line, at SP871322 (see OS Explorer map 192 or OS Landranger map 152 or MK City Atlas ref. 13Q). At this point a signpost directs you to under the railway and right into the car park. Here you will find a notice board showing a plan of the site.
NOTE: a height barrier, but you can park near to it.
From diving club: Diving is 10:30 on Sunday. Sat-nav users should follow directions to MK2 3BB.
Many entry points to water, more discreet ones on opposite side than diving point.
